Ah, Atsushi. The poor kid just can't seem to catch a break, can he? It's like trouble follows him wherever he goes. But I suppose that's what happens when you're the newest member of the Armed Detective Agency.
Act One:
So, Atsushi comes running into the office this morning in a panic. Apparently, he had accidentally unleashed some sort of ancient yokai spirit while out on a mission. Typical Atsushi move, really. Of course, Kunikida and I had to clean up his mess yet again.
Act Two:
Next thing we know, Atsushi is getting himself caught in some ridiculous love triangle with two female suspects from our latest case. Leave it to him to get distracted by pretty girls instead of focusing on the job at hand. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if that boy has any brains at all.
Act Three:
And finally - drum roll please - Atsushi manages to stumble upon an underground fighting ring while chasing down a lead for our current investigation. Naturally, he decides it's a good idea to enter the ring himself and try his hand at bare-knuckle brawling against seasoned fighters twice his size.
I swear, that kid is going to be the death of me one day.
But despite all his misadventures and near-death experiences (thanks entirely to his own incompetence), there's something endearing about Atsushi that keeps us all from kicking him out on the streets where he belongs.
Maybe it's because deep down we see ourselves in him - naive but well-meaning; clumsy but determined; constantly screwing things up but always managing somehow not only survive them but also come out stronger for it.
At least that's what I tell myself as I watch yet another disaster unfold before my eyes thanks solely ToS hite luck And AstUshi’s complete lack Of common sense or self-preservation instinct.
