At the employment agency.

Today was an interesting day. I found myself at the employment agency, trying to figure out what comes next now that my quest in Spanish Harlem has come to an end. The recruiter seemed a bit taken aback by my appearance and name, but hey, being a gargoyle named Ivy is just part of who I am.

I never really thought about what kind of work I would do once I finished taking down the Mendoza Syndicate. For the past twenty years, it's been all about cleaning up the streets and protecting the Arroyo family. But now that Sophie is off to college and Carlos won't let me pay rent anymore, I feel like it's time for me to find something new.

The recruiter asked me about my hobbies and special skills – ones that don't involve violence. People watching came to mind first, although that usually led me straight into vigilante justice territory. And then there's flying... which doesn't quite fit into your average job description.

But despite not fitting into any neat little box or job title, one thing remains true: I care deeply about people. It might not be your typical qualification on a resume, but it's who I am at my core – someone who wants to help others in any way possible.

After some discussion with the recruiter, they offered two potential jobs for consideration: working as a waitress at a local diner or serving legal documents as a process server. Both options have their appeal – interacting with people in different ways while still making a positive impact.

So here we are... at this crossroads where possibilities unfold before me like open wings ready for flight. Who knows where this path will lead? All I know is that whatever comes next will be another chapter in my story - one filled with adventure and purpose.
