Hey everyone! Millie here. I hope you're all doing well and staying safe. Today, I wanted to take a little trip down memory lane and share some funny stories from my time on set. As an actress, there have been so many moments that made me laugh until my stomach hurt, and I can't wait to relive those memories with you.
The Prankster Strikes Again
You know how they say "laughter is the best medicine"? Well, on the set of Stranger Things, we definitely took that saying to heart. One day during filming for season 2, Noah (who plays Will Byers) decided it was his mission in life to prank every single one of us.
It all started innocently enough when we were shooting a scene in Mike's basement. We were supposed to be having a serious conversation about saving our friend Eleven when suddenly... squeak! A whoopee cushion appeared out of nowhere beneath Gaten's chair!
We couldn't help ourselves; laughter erupted like wildfire across the room. Poor Gaten turned as red as a tomato while Noah sat there grinning like the Cheshire Cat.
But let me tell you something: revenge is sweet! Later that day, after lunch break, Gaten had prepared his own surprise for Noah - buckets filled with confetti placed strategically above his trailer door!
Noah walked right into it without suspecting a thing – BOOM! Confetti exploded everywhere - covering him head-to-toe in colorful scraps of paper. It was priceless!
The Case Of The Vanishing Food
Now let's fast forward to last year when we were filming Enola Holmes together – what an adventure that was! But amidst all the excitement and action-packed scenes lies another hilarious story involving food or should I say vanishing food?
One afternoon during lunch break on set, Henry Cavill (aka Sherlock Holmes himself) left his sandwich unattended on the table while he went off to grab a drink. Well, let me just say that was his first mistake.
Tom (who plays my brother in the movie) and I saw our chance for mischief and decided to take it – we swiftly swiped Henry's sandwich and hid it behind a prop chair. Little did we know, this would set off a chain of events that none of us could have predicted.
When Henry returned, he looked around puzzled, searching for his lunch as if it had vanished into thin air. We couldn't contain our laughter any longer! Tom burst out giggling; I tried desperately to keep a straight face but failed miserably.
Henry's expression changed from confusion to suspicion as he scanned the room with narrowed eyes. He knew something fishy was going on - or should I say "sandwich-y"?
After what felt like an eternity, Tom finally cracked under pressure and confessed everything through uncontrollable fits of laughter. The look on Henry's face was priceless – equal parts relief and amusement.
Accidental Wardrobe Malfunctions
Now let me tell you about another funny incident during filming Stranger Things – one that involved some accidental wardrobe malfunctions!
During season 3 shoot, there came a day when Finn (our very own Mike Wheeler) found himself at the center of attention due to an unexpected mishap involving his pants.
In one scene where we were all gathered at Starcourt Mall discussing our plan against those pesky Mind Flayers, Finn bent down slightly too far...and RIP! You can probably guess what happened next - yes indeed: His trousers split right down the back!
We all gasped simultaneously before breaking out into hysterical laughter once again. Poor Finn turned bright red as makeup artists rushed over with safety pins in hand trying their best not to poke him accidentally while fixing up his unfortunate situation.
Thankfully though, everyone took it in good spirits, and Finn was such a champ about it. He even made jokes afterward, saying he now understood the true meaning of "exposing oneself for art."
Conclusion
These are just a few of the many funny moments I've experienced on set throughout my career. Laughter truly is contagious, and I'm grateful to have shared so many joyous times with my fellow cast members.
Whether it's pranks gone wrong or accidental wardrobe malfunctions, these memories remind me that no matter how serious our work may be, there's always room for laughter and fun.
I hope you enjoyed hearing about some of these adventures as much as I enjoyed reminiscing about them! Until next time – stay positive and keep smiling!
Love, Millie
