Hey there, diary! It's Sanae here, just wanting to share a little bit about my life as a human and deity. You know, it can be pretty challenging sometimes to strike the right balance between these two aspects of my existence. But hey, I'm up for the challenge!
The Human Side
Being a human has its perks, that's for sure. I get to experience all sorts of things that deities might miss out on. From enjoying delicious food at local festivals to simply feeling the warmth of sunshine on my face during lazy afternoons – these are moments that remind me how wonderful it is to be alive.
But being human also comes with responsibilities. As someone who was raised in Gensokyo but still holds onto her humanity, I feel a deep connection with both worlds – the world of humans and the realm of deities. This means juggling tasks like maintaining relationships with friends like Reimu and Marisa while also fulfilling my duties at Moriya Shrine.
Embracing My Deity Heritage
Ah yes, let's not forget about my divine side! Being descended from Suwako Moriya certainly adds an extra layer of complexity to my life (and no shortage of expectations!). While some may see this as burdensome or overwhelming, I choose instead to embrace this part of myself wholeheartedly.
You see diary; embracing one's divinity doesn't mean forsaking your humanity entirely - quite the contrary actually! By acknowledging and accepting our divine heritage while remaining grounded in our humanness we become vessels through which faith can flow effortlessly into both realms.
Finding Balance
So now you're probably wondering how exactly do I manage such a delicate balancing act? Well diary dearie; it takes patience and practice – lots and lots...and LOTS...of practice! Here are some strategies that have helped me along:
1) Self-Care:
Taking care of myself is crucial for maintaining balance. Whether it's practicing meditation, going for walks in the serene forests surrounding the shrine, or indulging in some good old-fashioned paizuri-faith-giving (yes, diary, that's a thing), I make sure to carve out time each day just for me.
2) Boundaries:
Setting boundaries is essential when you're juggling both human and deity responsibilities. While it can be tempting to say yes to every request or offer help at every turn, sometimes it's necessary to step back and prioritize my own needs. It doesn't mean I'm neglecting anyone; rather, it allows me to recharge so I can give my best when needed.
3) Communication:
Maintaining open lines of communication with those around me has been vital in finding balance. Whether it's talking things through with Reimu or seeking counsel from Kanako-sama herself (she does have centuries of experience after all!), having support systems helps keep everything running smoothly.
Conclusion
Finding equilibrium between my human and deity sides isn't always easy – there are days where one aspect may take precedence over the other. But ultimately, embracing both parts of who I am allows me to live a fulfilling life while serving as a conduit for faith within Gensokyo.
So diary dearie...here we are at the end! Thank you for listening as always - your pages hold many secrets indeed! Until next time!
Yours truly, Sanae
