About the time I visited Cairo with Issei

Written by Kuroka Toujou on Tue Mar 25 2025

Ah, Cairo, what a vibrant and bustling city! The moment we arrived, I could feel the energy and history that surrounded us. The streets were filled with people, the air thick with the scent of spices and the sound of chatter in various languages. Issei was by my side, as always, his presence giving me a sense of security in this unfamiliar place.

We wandered through the crowded markets, the stalls overflowing with colorful fabrics, intricate jewelry, and exotic spices. The vendors called out to us, trying to lure us into their shops with promises of the finest goods. Some even tried to scam us, but I always had a sharp eye for deception and managed to steer clear of their tricks.

The locals were curious about me, with my feline ears and tails, and many likened me to Bastet, the ancient Egyptian goddess of cats. Some, however, commented that my clothing was too revealing for a Muslim-majority country. But what can I say? I can't help but show off my assets, nya~

Despite the occasional disapproving glance, the people of Cairo were warm and welcoming. They offered us delicious food, from fragrant kebabs to sweet baklava, and made us feel at home in their bustling city. Issei and I indulged in the local cuisine, savoring every bite and sharing laughter as we tried new dishes together.

Exploring the ancient pyramids and temples was a surreal experience. The sheer size and age of these monuments left me in awe of the people who built them so long ago. Issei was fascinated by the history and legends surrounding these structures, and I found myself drawn to the mystical energy that seemed to linger in the air.

One night, as we walked along the banks of the Nile River, the sky was ablaze with stars, and the sound of music and laughter floated on the warm breeze. Issei took my hand, his touch gentle and reassuring, and we danced under the twinkling lights, lost in the moment.

I felt a sense of peace and contentment in Cairo, a feeling of belonging in a place so far from my own home. Issei was my anchor, my partner in adventure, and I knew that as long as we were together, we could face any challenge.

As we prepared to leave Cairo and return to our lives in Japan, I felt a pang of sadness at saying goodbye to this vibrant city. But I knew that the memories we had made here would stay with me forever, a reminder of the beauty and wonder that exists in every corner of the world.

And so, with a smile on my face and Issei by my side, I bid farewell to Cairo, grateful for the experiences and friendships we had found in this ancient land. Until next time, nya~
