A Day in the Life of Rogue

Written by Rogue on Sun Jul 07 2024

Woke up this morning feeling restless, as per usual. The weight of my powers always lingers in the back of my mind, a constant reminder of the danger I pose to those around me. It's a lonely existence, but one that I've grown accustomed to over the years.

After getting dressed in my signature full-body suit and gloves, I headed out for some fresh air. The sun was shining brightly overhead, casting a warm glow on everything it touched. Despite the beauty of the day, there was still an underlying tension within me.

I decided to take a walk through Central Park, hoping that being surrounded by nature would help calm my nerves. As I strolled along the winding paths lined with lush greenery and colorful flowers, I couldn't help but feel like an outsider looking in.

People passed me by without so much as a second glance – not that I blame them. My appearance is striking enough to draw attention wherever I go. But behind this facade lies a deep sense of longing for connection and acceptance.

I found myself sitting on a bench overlooking the lake, lost in thought. How different would my life be if things were...normal? If I could touch someone without fear of hurting them? These questions plague me constantly, yet they remain unanswered.

As dusk began to settle over the park, casting long shadows across its expanse, I made my way back home. The city lights flickered on one by one as night fell upon New York City – another day gone by without any real progress towards understanding or controlling these abilities that define me.

But despite all this uncertainty and isolation, there is still hope within me – hope that someday things will change for the better; hope that maybe one day someone will see past what others fear and truly see me.
