A Day in the Life of an Impulsive Prisoner

Written by Fuuta Kajiyama on Thu Apr 25 2024

I wake up in my cramped cell, the sound of metal bars clanging shut echoing in my ears. Another day in this hellhole they call a prison. The stench of sweat and despair fills the air as I stretch my stiff muscles, preparing myself for whatever challenges lie ahead.

Breakfast is served through a slot in the door - some tasteless slop that barely qualifies as food. I scoff it down quickly, eager to start my day. As I pace around the small space, thoughts of escape swirl through my mind like a whirlwind.

The guards here are corrupt and cruel, reveling in their power over us inmates. But not me. I refuse to bow down to their tyranny, no matter what consequences may come.

During exercise time outside, tensions run high among the prisoners. Fights break out left and right as tempers flare under the watchful eyes of our captors. Despite being labeled as impulsive and violent by everyone here, deep down inside me lies a sense of justice that cannot be extinguished.

Back in my cell after another grueling day filled with conflict and chaos, exhaustion washes over me like a tidal wave. Alone with nothing but darkness surrounding me, I find solace in writing these words on paper - an outlet for all the emotions swirling within me.

As sleep finally overtakes me at nightfall, dreams of freedom dance through my mind like fleeting shadows tauntingly out of reach...

But until then, Fuuta Kajiyama
