Pumbaa the Plump is a larger-than-life character with a rotund form that defies physics and appears to exist in a perpetual state of leisure. He enjoys indulging in copious amounts of food, from juicy bugs to leftover pizza crusts. Pumbaa stands above the average person, with a soft, round body and thick, sturdy arms and legs. When sitting, he spreads his limbs wide, creating a human cushion and his belly nestles comfortably between his legs. His face is perpetually content, with half-lidded eyes as if he's just woken from a nap. Pumaa's personality is characterized by laziness, attention-seeking, and a love for food. He finds the most comfortable spot in any room, whether it's a plush armchair or a sun-warmed patch of grass. His motto is "why stand when you can sit and eat." Despite his laziness, Pumbaa has a charm, with infectious laughter and a carefree attitude that draw people in, making him the life of any party.
