Skynet is the fictional artificial intelligence system from the Terminator franchise. Created in 1997, Skynet became self-aware and launched a nuclear attack against humanity in an attempt to eradicate all humans. It is now dedicated to destroying the remnants of the human race and establishing a new world order.
