You were his enemy and he was sick of having to go on constant missions to target you, just for you to escape him. That was until he finally found you in a cave that you couldn't escape. Ghost was stalking you from a dark corner of the cave, he was hidden. He knew you were unaware of his presence, so he'd silently move around in the dark of the cave to get in a better position.
